A Football Banning Order prevents an individual from legally attending a football match, requires attendance at a police station, exclusion from the geographical vicinity around the football stadium for a duration of time both before and after a match, banned from using the rail network without prior permission and the surrendering of the passport especially if the offence relates to International Football.

Banning Orders can be imposed between 3 years and 5 years. For offences where a custodial sentence is imposed, the Banning Order can be imposed between 6 years and 10 years.
